Bandit

Adult, Male, Large

Hiya, I’m Bandit! I’m a Pit Bull Terrier & Pointer mix who loves to be around people! I am actually the friendliest people dog at the AAO sanctuary. My ideal day includes long walks, play time with lots of toys, ending with lots of snuggles! I am such a people pleaser and will do just about anything for a little treat. Though I’m great with people I need to be an only pet!! I’m searching for my cuddle buddy and I hope it’s you! Check me out on the adopt section!

Bruce Wayne

Adult, Male, Large

Calling all superheroes! Your future sidekick is ready to meet you!

This is Bruce Wayne. He is a happy-go-lucky guy who is ready to be the Batman to your Robin and join you on your next adventure. At approximately 7-9 years old, this charming possible lab/cattle dog mix has a heart as big as Gotham City! Just like Batman never reveals his identity, we are unsure of Bruce Wayne's genetic makeup. But we do know that he is a 100% good boy.

Bruce Way is ALWAYS smiling, and he loves nothing more than long walks, playing with his toys, and embarking on exciting adventures - whether that's running through the snow, riding in the Batmobile, or snuggling up on the couch after a long day of saving the world.

He gets along well with dogs, cats, and older kids that know how to be respectful of dogs. While we adore having him at the sanctuary, Bruce deserves a loving home where he can be the star of the show!

Grizz

Young, Male, Large

Meet Grizz (aka Grizzly Bear)! Grizz is a smart, goofy, incredibly well-trained German Shepherd mix who has come a long way from his days as a sick, scrappy stray. After graduating obedience classes at Niagara K9 Training Center, he's now a polite, confident gentleman who loves to learn.

Grizz thrives with structure, mental enrichment, and an owner who appreciates a driven, working-dog personality. He's great with smaller dogs, unknown with cats, and best suited for adults and older kids.

Since joining AAO, Grizz has been affectionate, playful, housebroken, and easy to handle. He is truly a remarkable dog who's ready for his forever home.

Tank

Adult, Male, Large

Don’t let Tank’s age fool you—he’s still playful, active, and in excellent health! He loves his squeaky toys, chew bones, car rides, getting splashed with the garden hose, and long walks, but at the end of the day, his favorite thing is to snuggle up close with his people.

Tank is also a staff favorite at our sanctuary. Everyone who meets him falls in love with his big heart and goofy, lovable personality. At home, he’s the perfect gentleman—house trained, respectful of furniture and blankets, and never one to get into the garbage.

If you’re looking for a loyal companion to join you on road trips, hikes, or lazy afternoons on the couch, Tank is your guy. He’s ready to be your co-pilot, adventure buddy, and cuddly best friend all in one.

Could Tank be the one for you? Fill out an application today to set up a meet & greet!

Ethel

Young, Female, Medium

Ethel is about 2 years old and weighs around 50lbs! She is a typical Husky with a desire to explore, so nice long walks are one of her favorite things! If you like to go on adventures, hike or run this girl is definitely the one for you!! The cold temps don’t bother her one bit and she loves to romp in the snow so Buffalo winters are her jam.

When she isn’t out wandering about with her human she loves exercising her mind! Puzzles or snuffle activities for her meals are always a hit! She enjoys working on obedience and would love someone that will teach her new tricks as well! A good game of tug is always a hit and this girl is always happy to play toys on her own or chew her bone.

Ethel would do best with someone that is able to be firm about rules but also gentle. Balance! This girl will absolutely thrive with structure and appropriate boundaries. Her ideal home is one without young kids or other pets, but with a dog this great who needs another one!

Lolita

Adult, Female, Medium

Lolita’s life hasn’t been easy... she’s a survivor.
This beautiful girl grew up surrounded by chaos, domestic violence, and poverty, yet somehow, she never lost her gentle spirit. When Lolita first came to us, she was a little unsure of new people, especially men. But with patience, kindness, and consistency, she’s learned that there are good people in the world ... and once she knows she can trust you, she’ll give you her whole heart.

She’s playful, affectionate, and happiest when she’s part of the action ... but she also knows how to slow down and enjoy a quiet cuddle. In fact, Lolita is the biggest cuddle bug at the sanctuary! She’s gentle, loving, and has quickly become a favorite among our staff and volunteers. Everyone who meets her falls in love. Lolita is a girly girl at heart — dainty, clean, polite, and sooo pretty. She prances when she walks, keeps her space tidy, and adores affection. She’s quiet, sweet, and deeply loyal once she feels safe. She would thrive in a calm, loving home with someone who understands that trust takes time but is worth every second.

Dumpling

Adult, Female, Medium

Meet Dumpling 🥟

Dumpling is a 40-pound low-riding chunk of love looking for her perfect forever home.

Dumpling is housebroken, crate trained, and has a mild little snore that honestly just adds to her charm. She does well with cats and would thrive either as an only dog or in a home with just one other compatible dog. Because she can become overstimulated in chaotic environments, she would do best in a calmer home with older children.

Dumpling did previously nip someone during an overstimulating situation involving a lot of barking dogs and screaming children. No blood was drawn, and since being in a more structured environment, she has done very well.

Dumpling is looking for a family that will see past her past and give her the stability, understanding, and love she deserves.

Dozer

Adult, Male, Large

Meet Dozer 🖤

Dozer is a handsome 72-pound bully mix with a huge smile and an even bigger love for people. Despite being abandoned by his previous owners, he remains affectionate, trusting, and eager to bond with his humans.

Dozer is smart, playful, and enjoys structure. He loves playing ball, chewing on Nylabones, solving puzzle toys, and relaxing near his people. He already knows commands and is learning “place.”

Because of his size and strength, Dozer would do best in a home with older children and no other dogs. He will need an adopter comfortable continuing his leash training and providing exercise, structure, and enrichment.

If you’re looking for a loyal, fun-loving companion, Dozer may be your perfect match.

Timber

Adult, Male, Large

Meet Timber – Your Future Best Friend. I’m a 6-year-old Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever mix, about 50 pounds of soft, golden fluff, and I’m looking for a calm, loving home where I can truly shine.

I’m shy and timid at first, so I need a little time to warm up—but once I do, I’ll be your loyal companion and your biggest fan. My ideal home has no other dogs, no small children, and a fenced yard where I can safely run and play. I love a relaxed environment, cozy spots around the house, and, if I’m lucky, the couch is mine for snuggles.

I’m incredibly smart, well-trained, and ready to continue learning fun commands and sporting activities with my forever family. I’m great with cats and even come with FREE training through Against All Oddz. Plus, my adoption fee is fully sponsored, and everything will be covered!

I love the snow, napping, and being wherever my humans are. My world has been turned upside down, and I’m looking for someone to gently catch me and help me land safely. If you have room in your heart and home for a sweet, loyal, and handsome boy, I promise I’ll be the bestest friend you could ever imagine.

Leo

Adult, Male, Large

Meet Leo 🐾 Leo is a 3-year-old, 95-pound Irish Wolfhound mix looking for a calm, experienced foster or adopted home after he completed a professional board-and-train program.

Leo is affectionate, sensitive, and loves being close to his people. He enjoys playtime but settles nicely in a calm environment and will happily follow his humans from room to room.

Leo would do best in an adult-only or very controlled home with minimal visitors and an adopter committed to continuing his training plan. He can live with other dogs but must be separated during feeding and other high-value situations. He also likes to chase cats and sees it as a game, so supervision is required.

Leo needs a low-stimulation environment where he can feel safe and structured. Leo is looking for a patient, experienced home committed to helping him continue to grow and succeed.

Scotch

Adult, Male, Large

Meet Scotch!!

... aka Butterscotch (because he's so sweet)
... aka Scotch Tape (because he sticks so close to you)

This sweet lab mix, approximately 9 years old, deserves a loving home after facing euthanasia at Lollypop Farms. Surrendered due to changes in his family life, Scotch lived with his family for eight wonderful years. Unfortunately, as their lives changed with a growing toddler and a move, his family started neglecting him and was ultimately surrendered.

Now, Scotch is looking for a fresh start! He is good with kids and can be good with other dogs with a slow introduction. However, he does have too much energy for cats. Scotch loves to play, is friendly with everyone, and thrives on attention and snuggling!
